- Incorporate the holidays – For many corporations or brands, a holiday party is a must-have event, so why not tie the holiday celebration around your fundraiser. In addition, certain holidays such as Christmas, tend to put people in the giving mood. You can do a formal gala-type event with a private auction, or a more casual luncheon depending on your guest list. Either way, the happiness of the holidays and the beauty of sailing along the ocean blue on a corporate yacht charter is a great combination to motivate donors.
- Play that tune – Entertainment and great music is always needed at an event, but what if it is part of your fundraising event? Adding a karaoke fundraiser is always a fun times for guests. Pick people randomly to sing a song of your choosing. If they decline, they have to donate a certain amount of money to your cause…or audience members can put money up to entice the person to get up on stage and belt out a tune. Either way, you can gather up a good amount of funds and the partygoers will have a hoot of a time!
- Ahoy, Matey – Combine one of our majestic yachts and the stunning waters of South Florida with an all out costume pirate party. This type of fundraiser is especially “fun” around Halloween. People purchase tickets to attend this Talk Like a Pirate Day celebration (with money accumulated going to your fundraiser). Swashbucklers will don their best pirate gear and communicate in a pirate voice, and maybe even win a prize or two. Décor can include old treasure chests where people can donate even more money. By turning your fundraiser yacht event into an exciting and unique celebration, guests are more likely to attend and help out a special cause.
