In 1997, Matthew Talchik founded Charter One with the goal of combining his love for the sea and background in the hospitality and service industry into his own business venture.
From chartering small dinner cruises and the purchase of his first yacht, The Summer Wind, formerly owned by the Bacardi family for private retreats, has been completely restored to all her glory and provides the perfect atmosphere for any event and can cater for corporate functions and social gatherings for up to 65 guests to operating The Grand Floridian from 2006-2010. Charter One’s newest acquisition is The Floridian Princess, which allows for up to 400 guests with seating for 350+ guests between two decks with no overcrowding whatsoever. Extra luxuries aboard include increased insulation and air conditioning for the extreme South Florida heat.
Matt Talchik’s dedication to providing first class luxury charter experiences has never wavered.
Today, the mission of Charter One’s management and staff; from the reservation agents, and event planners, to the captain, chef, and crew, is to deliver premier cruise experience, and exceptional service, focused on providing guests a distinctive, and memorable experience.
